Development of sustainable bioprocess for enzymatic hydrolysis (EH) of lignocellulosic biomass (LB), with the aim to overcome critical design issues typical of industrial scale.

The project aims to assess the mass transfer and biocatalytic phenomena accessibility controlling the cellulose accessibility to the enzymes in high-solids slurry and single LB particle systems at the micro-scale.
