I have been fortunate to be the acting procurement manager, as and when required, since 2016. In this time, I have performed very well in the position. I have been fortunate to be part of the Tender Board team and Tender Board meetings. Thus, I am very familiar with the process.

In the procurement specialist role I dealt with all tenders from start to end. I will provide my job description to explain my duties within this role.

I have been maintaining the audit filing, as well as the monthly reporting, to ensure audit compliance within the supply chain.

Part of my daily duties is to support capital projects when and where needed, commercially. I have very good knowledge in the Capital Projects Department, with good feedback on my support to the team.

I have experience in multiple ERP systems, namely ACCPAC, MIMS, ELLIPS, SAGE, SAP, and currently MAXIMO. I have trained several staff members in-house to assist us in performing segregation of duties where needed, using the ACCPAC system.

With the new Maximo ERP system, I have been seen as a person who learns fast and is very good with systems. I was tasked to coordinate the Maximo project to the finish line by setting up the system to be in line with the procurement processes. At this time, I have been seen as a Maximo champion and thereafter returned to my previous role.

I have sound knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.

After accumulating as much experience as possible at the smelter, I feel that I now have good knowledge in both buying and tender processes. I would like to move forward in my career and look at new opportunities.
