• Collaborate with Packaging Engineering Manager to compile and manage maintenance resource budgets.
• Oversee unit-level repair and maintenance expenditures; contribute to annual CAPEX planning with upgrade proposals.
• Identify and correct inefficiencies in maintenance practices; recommend optimized maintenance mixes to Systems Engineer.
• Review and refine maintenance schedules to align with operational demands.
• Develop and communicate daily, weekly, and annual maintenance plans; maintain planning tables in SAP.
• Allocate tasks to artisans and technicians based on skills and priorities; ensure availability of tools, spares, and documentation.
• Provide third-line breakdown support for complex failures; lead root cause analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Support all maintenance activities, ensuring quality workmanship and effective resource deployment.
• Monitor staff performance using KPIs; coach team members on technical skills and engineering standards.
• Drive TPM implementation from the Maintenance Engineering side.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, and product quality standards (FSSC 22000 )
• Act as Unit Manager during absences to maintain operational continuity.

• Maintain, repair, install, and upgrade machines like:
  Depalletisers, Unpackers, Bottle Inspectors, Bottle & Crate Washers
  Glideliners, Blockungs, Fillers, Checkmats, Taptones, Pasteurizers
  Labellers, Crate Inspectors, Shrinkwrappers, Traypackers, Packers
  Palletisers, Stretch Wrappers (for 330ml to 750ml bottles)
• Design and install new distribution boards.
• Install input/output devices:
• Install and wire PLC S7/ET stations, including:
  Digital/analogue I/O, Profibus, Ethernet, AS-i bus networks
• Set up Danfoss variable speed drives.
• Install shaft encoders, KFS 3s, HMIs.
• Maintain and overhaul single-phase and three-phase motors.
• Design and build control circuits for motors triggered by sensors (pressure, flow, conductivity, oxygen).
• Test, set up, troubleshoot, and repair:
  Domino Laser Coders, Videojet Date Coders
  Hotmelt Glue Units
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and electrical shutdowns.
• Lead electrical projects: build and commission machines with OEMs.
• Create training manuals, work instructions, and deliver on-the-job training.
• Develop stock applications for new machine components.
• Review old stock, source better suppliers and parts.
• Create new preventive maintenance job cards for newly installed machines.

Electrical Maintenance Technician – Summary of Duties

• Provide first-line electrical support during equipment failures and breakdowns.
• Execute planned, corrective, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
• Perform fault-finding and repairs across packaging machinery
• Install, upgrade, and overhaul motors, sensors (digital/analogue, photoelectric, inductive), valves, solenoids, and actuators.
• Set up and wire PLCs (ET stations), including digital/analogue I/O, Profibus, Ethernet, and AS-i bus networks.
• Fit shaft encoders, KFS 3s, HMIs, Pt100s, pressure transducers, and flow meters.
• Respond to breakdowns during standby shifts.
• Maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement.

• Support Artisan during breakdowns and maintenance.
• Fault-find and repair motors, lights, and building electrical systems.
• Install VSDs, lay LV cables, wire DBs and MCCs.
• Clean and maintain electrical workshop and MCCs.
• Service generators and learn job card system.
• Assist with conveyors, crushers, pumps, heaters, PLCs, UPSs, burners, agitators, and Profibus systems.

• Assist Artisan with electrical faults and maintenance on Shovels, Pit Vipers, and Drill Techs.
• Perform planned, corrective, and predictive maintenance; fault-finding and breakdown analysis.
• Test motors (3.3kV, 550V, 380V) and maintain generator brushes.
• Replace pressure switches, valves, amplifiers, fuses, overloads, and breakers.
• Maintain cabin electronics, working lights, MCCs, and workshop housekeeping.
• Support hydraulic and diesel systems; clean and inspect control panels.
