  • Develop Calls for Applications inviting entrepreneurs and representatives of financial institutions to submit expressions of interest in the facility.
  • Identify and engage regional financial institutions to be linked to entrepreneurs as well as being provided with training on renewable energy project appraisal.
  • Conduct preliminarily quality assessment of a variety of renewable energy project proposals submitted by the entrepreneurs.
  • Provide advice to project managers (at IRENA, ENERGICA and at SACREEE) on next steps in the implementation of the projects.
  • Coordinate the design and organisation of training and mentorship programmes for selected entrepreneurs and financial institutions.
  • Support the design of innovative cross-sector nanogrids
  • Support the development and testing of adapted agri-specific solutions
  • Support the sizing and testing of adapted water-specific solutions
  • Support the development and testing of adapted cooling-specific solutions
  • Provide general support to the day-to-day project activities encompassing monitoring and evaluation of project activities as per work plan and time schedule; to ensure its effective execution.
