· Coordination of forestry development at constituency level

· Responsible for forestry extension services in forms of technical assistance and professional advice to local communities, individuals and organizations.

· Planning and implementing forestry development activities in accordance with set priorities, Forestry Policy and Strategic plan

· Monitoring and handling of state revenue according to Treasury instructions

· Recording and reporting forestry activities in the form of monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports

· Management and development of forests, orchards, woodlots and nurseries

· Ensuring forest resources are sustainable utilized through community forestry implementation / establishment

· Monitoring and controlling exploitation and trade of forest resource (Law Enforcement)

· Advise relevant stakeholders on matters related to forestry

· Cooperation and networking with other government agencies, local authorities and NGO’s working on matters related to forestry

Management of physical resources allocated to the district (GRN properties)
