Location: Windhoek and Walvis Bay

• Auditing of Property plant and equipment of all assets at the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) and Namibia Drydock and ship repair (Pty) Ltd (Namdock) ensuring all assets are recorded in compliance with IAS 16 Property plant and equipment.
• Assessing the impairment of Property plant of all assets at the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) and Namibia Drydock and Ship repairt (Pty) Ltd (Namdock) ensuring all assets are assessed for impairment in compliance with IAS 36 Impairment of Assets.
• Responsible for the execution of a risk-based audit framework and served as a team leader during the period of the audit engagement.
• Responsible for obtaining evidence to ascertain that the financial of audit clients are compliant with IFRS.
• Worked well in a team setting, providing support and guidance.
• Managed time efficiently in order to complete all tasks within audit deadlines (ability to work under pressure).
• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in communicating with audit clients (Those Charged with Governance and Management) and Engagement partner through providing regular status updates.
• Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations such as different working environments (auditing different industries in both Windhoek and Walvis Bay)

• Settlement of Government bond/ Treasury Bill auctions
• Settlement/recording of securities from Asset managers
• Bank reconciliations
