Acting Deputy Director: IT Infrastructure

Responsibility:

  • To oversee the IT Infrastructure division, with a primary focus on planning, directing, and coordinating the design, installation, and acquisition of computer systems and network infrastructure.
  • Ensuring a secure and stable operation of the bank's information technology assets.
  • Managed good networking relationships with service providers, partners and vendors.

  • IT Security: Developed and oversaw the implementation of the bank's Cyber Security Plan which covers various detection and defense technologies, user awareness training as well as IT Security policies & Incidents Response procedures.
  • IT Operations: Achieved a good maturity level by developing procedures and ensuring compliance to the following practices: Availability & capacity management, vulnerability management, patch management, IT inventory management, incident and Problem management.
  • Project Management and Implementation: Served as Technical Lead in the successful implementation of various projects including: National Payment System, Enhance Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) system, and SAP S4 HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).




Senior IT Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Annually plan, design, install, and configure corporate server technology in physical and virtual environments. Provide a well-supported backend infrastructure to maximize systems availability.
  • Monitoring the IT infrastructure landscape using early warning systems to allows for effective preventative maintenance and health checks. Optimize corporate data, manage the Storage Area Network (SAN) by analyzing system logs and health checks daily.
  • Maintain and update the IT operational manual, key IT procedures, and IT management standards annually.
  • Monitor IT technical resource utilization and update the IT Capacity Plan annually to estimate growth and plan procurement.
  • Perform Disaster Recovery Testing operations, including effective data replication, system backups, and restoration of services by replicating data offsite and running the corporate backup procedure daily to ensure all corporate data can be restored quickly and within the recovery time objective (RTO) in the event of technical outages, business disruptions, or disasters.
  • Deploy industry best practices and security controls on managed systems to ensure only authorized users have access to resources.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Deputy Director: IT Infrastructure, including researching new and innovative technologies to improve IT Infrastructure.
  • Partake in the Tender process, from start to the tender evaluation process – Providing Recommendation on the successful company based on IT Industry knowledge and tender scores.
  • Standing in for the IT Deputy Director: Technical • in his absence.
  • Management all IT Technicians as they report directly to the Senior IT System Engineer.

  • Responsible for planning, designing, testing and implementation of all software & hardware related to operation of physical & virtual server and storage.

  • Responsible for the corporate mail archiving solution.


Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Administered the Enterprise data backup and recovery solutions
  • Administered adherence to backup, disaster recovery plans and other contingency plans.
  • Ensure data integrity, reliability and safety.
