

Hileni Nelago Shikongo is a dedicated Namibian teacher, researcher, and education advocate with extensive experience in the education sector. Since 2018, she has been serving as a teacher at Marmer Primary School, where she has contributed to learner development, classroom management, and academic support for upper primary learners.
She obtained her Honours Degree in Education (Upper Primary Phase Grades 4–7), majoring in English and Social Studies, from the University of Namibia (UNAM) in 2018. In 2025, she completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy at the International University of Management (IUM).
Her master’s research focused on “The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Teachers’ Leadership and Professional Practice,” reflecting her passion for educational leadership, teacher effectiveness, and policy development. Her research interests include educational leadership, teacher professional development, educational policy, school effectiveness, and evidence-based educational reform.
Hileni is also actively involved in union-related educational initiatives and remains committed to promoting quality education, professional growth, and inclusive learning opportunities within Namibia and across Africa.
