• Perform planned maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimize plant downtime and ensure continuous production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to execute accurate fabrication and repair work.
• Conduct inspections to identify wear, corrosion, and structural defects, and implement corrective actions.
• As Safety representative: Representing my colleagues in Safety meetings, Investigating incidents, Conducting inspections, Hazard Identification, Promoting Safety culture.

* Interpreted technical drawings, blueprints, and class requirements (e.g. classification societies), ensuring all work met strict marine compliance standards.

• Managed end-to-end project execution, from planning and resource allocation to completion and final handover of marine repair and fabrication projects including 3 Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and 4 naval vessels for the Namibian Ministry of Defence .
• Coordinated multidisciplinary teams (boilermakers, welders, fitters, riggers, subcontractors) to ensure efficient workflow and timely project delivery.
• Supervised and participated in dry dock operations, including structural repairs, inspections, and maintenance of vessels under tight deadlines.
• Ensured strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a strong safety culture in high-risk marine environments.

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain structural components of marine mining vessels, including hulls, decks, crawler systems, and recovery equipment.
• Perform welding and structural repairs on offshore mining equipment under demanding sea conditions.
• Interpret marine and mining engineering drawings to ensure precise fabrication and compliance with offshore standards.
• Conduct inspections for corrosion, fatigue, and structural damage caused by harsh marine environments and heavy mining operations.
• Adhere to strict offshore safety procedures, isolation standards, and environmental regulations while working onboard vessels.

• Maintenance work e.g. Chutes, liners, grizzly bars.
• Manufactures new items, items in the workshop e.g. Chutes, conveyors, walkways.
• Repairs and installation of different items in the plant.

• Supervise, control and plan team members of different trades, Mechanical fitters, Boilermakers, Welders, Sandblasters & Painters.
• Supervision of fabrication of items manufactured or repaired in the workshop.
• Ensures company policies including safety and discipline are adhered to.
• Manage and control the annual operational budget of the Workshop.
• Procurement of material and spares for projects as requested by internal clients.
• Ensure safe execution and completion of various projects.
