Conduct necessary research relating to financial sector development in Namibia as outlined in the Financial Sector Strategy (NFSS) and dictated by emerging issues necessary to enhance access to financial services and products by eligible Namibians and SMEs within agreed timeline annually
Coordinate the implementation of the reform strategies of the Financial Sector Strategy by departments in the Bank and other relevant national bodies and institutions
Provide secretariat services and support to the overall governance structure of the financial sector development strategy including the Financial Inclusion Council, Advisory Body to Council and other relevant sub-committee/platform created to ensure effective implementation of the financial sector development initiatives
Monitor the developments in the financial sector constantly and keep management updated and informed of such to assist in determining whether or not such developments will have impact on the implementation and/or achievement of the relevant strategies of the Financial Sector Strategy
Supervise the team members which entail coaching and managing performance of staff members
This includes maintaining staff discipline, establishing divisional goals, staff performance appraisals and budget control and staff development
Perform any other duties that will be assigned by the Bank from time to time.
