Work History

Canine Officer

  • Daily training of wildlife detection dogs
  • Collect, Enter and Curate ecological data pertaining to research and monitoring of carnivore populations using wildlife Detection dogs
  • Engage with the public through interactive demonstrations showcasing the programme (Demonstrations for school groups, donors, guests etc)
  • Take interns out on scat dog training (Display the dogs to local and international interns, working guests, and visitors during onsite training sessions)
  • Conduct and prepare for field searches (getting equipment ready, identifying fauna by spoors and dung, identifying flora)
  • Monitor and maintain the health of the dogs
  • Prepare project reports on various aspects of ecology (Game counts) and/or human-wildlife conflict projects
  • Assisting in writing and editing journal articles, newsletters, and press releases
  • Carry out field searches in Namibia and other countries.

Livestock Guarding Dog Program Assistant Manager

  • Assisting with courses, Deliver lectures on human wildlife conflict both at the cheetah conservation fund and off-site community programs
  • Liaison with farmers with regards to education on the Livestock Guarding Dog program
