Reviews existing Employee Relations (ER) policies and procedures, provides advice and information to management and presiding officers in ER related cases/hearings, acts as custodian of the Disciplinary and grievance process; · Facilitates the counselling of employees affected with social problems i.e. HIV/AIDS, alcohol and drugs, debts etc. as well as to arrange for their referral for medical assistance; Arranges, records all proceedings at negotiation meetings and provide relevant information, facilitating the exchange of agreements i.e. wage and salary negotiation, general industrial issues and maintains records of the agreements reached between Council and Union; Consult with employees to identify the extent to which the Affirmative Action as set out in the approved AA Plan has been implemented in the relevant departments; Coordinating, arranging and taking minutes at the AA consultative meeting as well as to compile the AA Report for the municipality; Act in the capacity of the Human Resources Manager in her absence.
