Over the years at the PSS, I predominantly taught English and Mathematics. In 2009 I was appointed Phase Head for the Senior Primary Phase. This position included the efficient planning and running of the phase, administrative tasks, staff development and recruitment, curriculum overview as well as communication with students and parents.

I strove to cultivate a positive learning environment and kept lines of communication open in order to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. By fostering a sense of collaboration and trust, I was able to effectively address any concerns or issues that arose, ensuring a supportive and productive atmosphere for all stakeholders.

I started as a class teacher for a grade 4 group in 1997.

In 1998 I was appointed subject head for the Junior Primary Phase which entailed management of grades 1 – 4, the subsequent teaching staff as well as communication with parents.
