Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • To act as a key point of contact within the Firm for the Client. This will involve responding quickly (within 24 hours or earlier on all client requests) to, as well as anticipating, client requests / needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided, and maintaining regular contact with the clients;
  • Manage a portfolio of clients including control of billings, time charged (WIP) and cash collections within the Firm’s criteria;
  • Manage Human Resource recruitment, assignment, development, training and disciplinary actions for employees within department, within the Firm’s criteria;
  • Review of work prepared by members of staff in the department;
  • To ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and keep Client and Partner informed of overruns and plan staff assignments in order to give an appropriate spread of experience including preparation of budgets. Agreeing of budgets with clients, assigning appropriate level / s of staff members to perform the assignment (taking into consideration of the employee / s experience and technical ability in order to mitigate risk and ensure quality control on all assignment).
  • Manage assignments to ensure employee / s are performing their tasks at hand accurately and within given budget as well as applying the Firms Quality and Risk Procedures;
  • Ensure and oversee timeous completion of assignment and keeping to given deadlines;
  • Delivery of high standard, technically correct products (Reports, AFS, Management Accounts, etc.) to the clients;
  • Ensure that the billing / invoicing of the client is done upon completion of assignment (ie. at delivery of product) and collection of payment is received on agreed terms;
  • Ensure that the Firm’s Quality Control procedures are adhered to including engagement quality compliance reviews, where applicable;


Monthly Tasks:

  • Meeting with potential new clients and set-up clients on Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll;
  • All administrative tasks included in the above mentioned;


Yearly Tasks for Close Corporations and Individuals in trade:

  • Compiling of Annual Financial Statements using CaseWare Working Papers;
  • Annual taxation calculation, including calculations for Recoupment, Wear and Tear, Deferred Tax and all necessary working papers;
  • Calculation of Provisional Taxes and completing of returns;
  • Proposals for potential new clients and all related administrative tasks thereof.

Property investment, retail, tourism, shipping agencies, import/export, courier services and agriculture sector - factories in fishing industry.
