I am a founding member of the consultancy and currently the executive director.

• Designed and conducted health education surveys to assess health needs and risk factors within communities.

• I was the head of the management and oversaw the daily affairs of the hospital.
• Documented processes and drafted SOPs to comply with regulations and company policies.

• In this position, I worked with the Ministry of Health & Social services supported by CDC/PEPFAR.
• The goal of this position was to provide technical assistance to the ministry of health staff in selected health facilities in the implementation and operationalization of National ART guidelines, including but not limited to targeted HIV testing and clinical management of ART, as it furthers the Namibian Ministry of Health and Social Services goal of closing the gaps in the HIV treatment cascade.
• My primary responsibilities were in three categories; Direct support to health care workers and service provision in assigned HIV Care and Treatment Sites, Training Responsibilities, and lastly Care and Treatment Program Management:
• Under Direct support to health care workers and service provision in assigned HIV Care and Treatment;
• I supported sites to develop strategies to close gaps along the 95-95-95 HIV care and treatment continuum:
• I supported the implementation of HIV prevention strategies; eMTCT (including early infant diagnosis and implementation of P-Tracker), integration of PrEP at relevant service delivery points
• I supported all staff in ensuring high quality management of HIV-infected adults and children at facilities providing HIV services, including collaborating with district clinicians in participating in HIV-related ward rounds if applicable.
• I supported the implementation of quality improvement projects at all sites, including support for SIMS, NamCOVIT, NAMPROPA, NamLiVE, HIVQUAL and other targeted QI projects in line with MoHSS priorities.
• I advocated for facility multi-disciplinary team meetings that promote buy-in by the health facility leadership and service providers to recognize achievements and strategize solutions for challenges.
• I provided on-site mentoring and support to nurses and physicians during patient visits, including Collaborative provision of direct HIV patient care for complicated cases as needed.
• I collaborated with other partners involved in clinical mentoring and liaise closely with the MoHSS Regional and District leadership.
• I collaborated with community partners and support liaison on achievement of index partner testing, tracing clients for retention in care and other strategies that support HIV cascade.
• I assisted sites to analyze, interpret and utilize their own routinely collected data for action.
• Assisting in development of standard operating procedures to improve services at ART clinics and other relevant departments in health facilities.
• In collaboration with Nurse Mentors and other stakeholders, I identified HIV training needs at facilities which provided HIV services and ensured liaison with regional leadership regarding needs.
• Under training Responsibilities;
• I collaborated with Ministry of Health and Social Services leadership in advocating for HIV-related training according to needs and for selection of appropriate participants.
• I was a trainer/facilitator in HIV-related training courses (e.g., QI initiatives, NIMART, Pediatric HIV, HIV Disclosure, etc.)
• I provided on-site targeted training and off-site training, including providing post-training support as applicable.
• I supported Ministry of Health and other partners in ensuring content development, updating and revision of curricula as needed together with revision of national guidelines as requested.
• Under Care and Treatment Program Management responsibilities;
• I provided overall leadership for HIV Care and Treatment teams.
• I provided supportive and technical supervision to all Nurse Mentors in assigned districts. I approve all leave and timesheets and do annual performance reviews with them.
• I provided overall support as team lead to all project staff in Ohangwena region, including HIV Laboratory Coordinator, Health Assistants, M&E Officers, data clerks and drivers in all their HIV-related activities.
• I recommended leave and timesheets for M&E officers and drivers.
• Leading the development and monitoring of quarterly goals for Ministry’s clinical staff in our region.

In this position, I worked with the International Training and Education Centre for Health (I-TECH) which is a US government-funded project that supports the development of HIV prevention, care, and treatment initiatives in 25 resource-limited countries acutely impacted by the global AIDS epidemic

• I led the development and monitoring of quarterly goals for I-TECH’s clinical staff in the region.

• In this position, I was the District Medical Officer responsible for TB/HIV services
• I oversaw the main ART site where I was based, one health centre and nine clinics
• I was involved in the management of clients; request laboratory and clinical investigations interpret the results and provide the appropriate medical care for them
• I also provided patient education on HIV/AIDS which includes adherence to ART, Prevention and prompt treatment of opportunistic infections, prevention of mother to child transmission
• Participated in the establishment and institutionalization of functional continuous Quality Improvement projects within the district and I was the focal person for the NamLive quality improvement Collaborative at our site
• I provided mentoring to the district staff working with HIV/ ART and we were involved in conducting trainings related to TB/HIV.

• As a team we were responsible for the establishment and institutionalization of functional continuous HIV/TB quality improvement systems
• This was done through quality improvement collaborative and quality management trainings
• We were responsible for developing standard operating procedures for the province in alignment with the national standards and review of the existing HIV/ART National guidelines
• Management of clients, request laboratory and clinical investigations interpret the results and provide the appropriate medical care for them
• I also provided patient education on HIV/AIDS which includes adherence to ART, Prevention and prompt treatment of opportunistic infections, prevention of mother to child transmission
• I would conduct HIV/TB related trainings and research
• I provided HIV/ART Clinical mentorship within the central province
• I did monthly reporting and review of TB/HIV related data for institutional with the aim of quality improvement
• Support supervisory visits to hospitals, health centres and clinics

• I was the medical officer coordinating this largest and oldest HIV cohort in Africa
• Reviewed and studied data for the patients and was required to report on a monthly basis
• I would advise the entire institute on which patient needed special care and which patients were not doing well on their treatment
• I managed HIV/AIDS patients by following them up and ensuring good adherence to their treatment and I prescribed Antiretroviral Drugs for my patients, monitored for any adverse reactions and their response to the medication
• I chaired clinical and research forums where we would discuss patients who were failing on their treatment and discussed the new evidence to support the care, we gave them
• And I also taught medical students who came to the institute for their clinical placement
• I provided technical support (Mentorship) to health care workers in regional and district hospitals and selected health centres.

• This was six months consultancy working as HIV/ART consultant and was involved in areas below;
• Responded to HIV/ART related telephonic and email queries from health workers in and outside boarders of Uganda
• Supervised communication with IDI alumni
• Oversaw update of ATIC Data base and took part in research activities within ATIC
• Took lead in writing of December newsletter and supervised distribution of ATIC September newsletter to health centres
• Disseminated information to health care workers through face-to-face training workshops and face to face CME sessions
• Supervision of Global Health Clinical (GHC) fellows in their respective projects and supported training department in their activities
• Provided technical support on HIV/ART throughout country via telephones, emails and physical visits.

• I worked as an intern doctor at the emergency department, medical, surgical and pediatrics wards and I also carried surgeries that included explorative laparotomies, herniorraphies, caesarean sections and other minor surgeries
• Furthermore I used to manage HIV/AIDS patients on their treatment and follow up for cases of treatment failure.
