I am a focused, responsible and result oriented lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws Degree obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) in 2012. I have strong analytical and research skills, and I have sound knowledge of the Laws in Namibia applicable to the financial services industry. In my eight years’ experience working for the Ministry of Justice as a Magistrate, I enhanced my ability to summarize facts, identify the issues in question and to conduct comprehensive research to apply the relevant legal principles to the facts. This is a skill that later made me a sharp Legal Advisor at Stanbic Bank Botswana, where I further polished my skill to give well researched legal opinions and advice within requisite turnaround times. I have good experience and knowledge to thoroughly review contracts from business units, thereby mitigating against legal risk. As such, I strongly believe that I am not only capable, but would excel at providing general oversight for legal risk management, and to set and define measurable performance parameters gauged towards achieving that. I have good experience in giving legal advice on products and processes in a financial services organization, and firmly believe that my ability to learn, work hard, and work well in a team make me fully competent for this role which I am eager to undertake. Due to my training at WITS university and my work experience both as a Magistrate and a Legal Advisor in a Bank, I am able to acclimatize to any relevant managerial legal position, as I have the requisite capacity to keep in touch with, and interpret the relevant legislation affecting any organization. I have a keen interest in the financial services industry, and my goal as such is to obtain a challenging position in a dynamic organization with admirable values like your esteemed organization, so that I may further grow my skills and knowledge, and make impactful and creative contributions to the organization. I have the desire to identify training programs and courses that would develop my skills further, and that would help me to align with expected standards and future ready skills. This will make me excel in my role my role.
